A34 crash update: Three-week-old baby and woman hit by lorry



A woman has been seriously injured after a lorry mounted the pavement and hit her and a three-week-old baby this morning.
Emergency services are still at the scene of the serious collision on Newcastle Road, Congleton.
The woman who is in her 30s was walking outside the Astbury Mere Care Home with a three-week-old baby in a pram shortly before 11.30am.
A North West Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We were called at 11.39 to a collision involving a woman and a baby.
