‘I’d be picking at my fingers without even noticing and travelling on the tube when I was very anxious, my hands would be bleeding by the time I get to wherever I need to go.
‘That’s obviously very uncomfortable, very embarrassing – I was ashamed of it and found it very difficult.’
Artist and speaker Liz Atkin joined us on this week’s episode of Metro.co.uk’s mental health podcast, Mentally Yours.
She chatted about her compulsive skin picking disorder, also known as dermatillomania.
