A quick spot of horseplay in glorious Gloucestershire: Joining the polo set on the fabulous fields of Cirencester



Some girls (and boys) never grow out of ponies.
For them, a new package at the Kings Head in Cirencester promises a thrill: an overnight introduction to polo in tandem with Cirencester Park Polo Club, one of the oldest in Britain and a favourite of Princes William and Harry.
Eager to see if it lives up to Jilly Cooper's 1991 bonkbuster Polo, I arrive at the club's vast grounds in Gloucestershire to try a chukka or two.
