A new grammar school would 'keep children in North East Lincolnshire'



A NEW grammar school built in North East Lincolnshire would benefit children in the borough, councillors believe.
Following a heated debate between councillors, full council approved a motion which also welcomed the Government's controversial decision to reverse the ban on building new grammar schools across the country.
A tense vote went down to the wire, with the Mayor of North East Lincolnshire, Councillor Christina McGilligan-Fell, having the final say and voting in favour of the motion put forward by Conservative leader Phillip Jackson.
