A criminologist has an unusual theory about the Killer Clowns

The people running round in clown costumes feel they can act recklessly because their identities are hidden, according to an expert.
The Killer Clown craze is playing on fears popularised by Batman’s arch enemy the Joker and Stephen King’s novel ‘It’, according to a Birmingham academic.
But Dr Adam Lynes, a criminology lecturer at Birmingham City University, said those taking part were likely acting in an abnormal way because of the knock-on effect of masking their faces.
