0 Have your say Nearly 800 houses could be built on green space which is due to be safeguarded from development by Leeds City Council.
The Sir Robert Ogden Partnership is proposing to build a housing estate with up to 770 homes and a convenience shop at the former Tingley Station off Dunningley Lane.
But the land is designated as ‘safeguarded’ under a draft Site Allocations Plan by the council, due to be submitted to the Secretary of State next summer.
And councillors fear the housing proposal could mean the land is developed before it is protected.
