5,000 crocus bulbs planted to honour PC Dave Phillips
 

The tragic scene where a Merseyside police officer was killed will become a riot colour from next spring.
Members of the Penny Bridge Rotary Club, along with two colleagues of PC Dave Phillips , have planted 5,000 purple crocus bulbs along a section of Wallasey Dock Road, where the young dad was killed as tried to stop a man driving a stolen truck in October last year.
The crocus planting was arranged in close collaboration with PC Phillips’ family, along with Merseyside Police and Wirral Borough Council.
