35 gang injunctions in force on Merseyside - where are they being used and do they work?



Thirty five suspected gang members are under the watch of police officers using special powers in a bid to halt trouble on the streets of Merseyside.
Hit by gang injunctions the thugs are banned from trouble hotspots, meeting associates and even wearing balaclavas and scarves over their faces.
And the use of the stringent sanctions could become more common after an extensive research project, focusing solely on Merseyside, highlighted the success of the orders.
