£30m North Wales advanced manufacturing institute plan moves step forward
 

Plans have been submitted for the construction of a £30m advanced manufacturing institute that will help create dozens of new jobs.
The Welsh Government has lodged proposals to build the Advanced Manufacturing & Research Institute on the Deeside Industrial Estate - which could help to pump as much as £50m into the Welsh economy and is expected to generate around 170 direct jobs.
The government has expressed hope that the centre will help maximise the role of the industrial estate in its Northern Powerhouse vision.
