£3,700 raised to repair vandalised stained glass window at Shifnal church
 

0 Comments Vandals badly damaged the window at St Andrew’s Church earlier this year.
The window was created by artist William Morris.
A protective grate across the window was removed before a section of the William Morris window was broken.
The vandals then climbed an external staircase at the church to smash more leaded windows.
An appeal was launched and the community rallied around to raise funds for the church window, raising almost £4,000.
The Reverend Chris Thorpe said he had been saddened by the attack but felt “overwhelmed” by the support they have had from the people of Shifnal.
