26 evicted since April as Ongo Homes gets tougher with rent-dodgers after increase in arrears
 

North Lincolnshire’s biggest social landlord Ongo Homes is getting tougher with rent-dodgers following an increase in arrears last year.
Between April and August this year a total of 26 bad-payers have been evicted.
That is just 14 less than the number for the whole of the 2016-17 financial year.
The Scunthorpe-based housing association, which runs more than 9,600 properties, last year reported rent arrears had risen to 2.37 per cent of the total owed.
But the get-tough stance from the organisation appears to be paying dividends.
