190 hens in Lincolnshire face slaughter unless YOU can give them a home
 

A charity is hoping to find homes for 190 hens who face slaughter after their egg production has slowed.
The British Hen Welfare Trust is looking to re-home a total of 300 birds during an event in Stamford on Saturday, August 5, of which 190 still don't have homes to go to.
The trust is therefore appealing to anyone who has a bit of space in their back garden to consider giving a home to some of them.
The hens are around 18 months old when they are sent to slaughter because their egg laying has slowed down, and while they don’t come with guarantees, they are generally happy to offer a tasty... read more
