17-year-old student still in critical condition after A60 crash
 

A 17-year-old girl remains in a critical condition in hospital after a crash on the busy road outside her college on Wednesday afternoon.
The girl, who has not been named, was hit by a car as she left Portland College at around 4.10pm. Emergency services were on the scene for more than six hours investigating the crash, and the road re-opened at 10.15pm.
The crash happened outside the college on the A60 and the student was taken to Queen's Medical Centre for treatment with what were described as 'life-threatening injuries'.
