10,000 new homes as council launches major new house building company

Liverpool City Council is launching its own house-building company to create 10,000 new homes.
Foundations will begin a huge house-building programme across the city aimed at helping people get onto the property ladder who have struggled before.
It is hoped that 10,000 new properties will be built over the next eight to 10 years and that 5,000 new jobs will be created.
