£1.6k theft from 'elderly, woman': Hull court sentences (October 8, 2016)



An update of people convicted and sentenced in the courts in Hull and the East Riding
James Willmer, 20, of Swanland Grove, north Hull, was given a six-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, for stealing £1,621.50 in cash from a person in a "significant breach of trust against a vulnerable, elderly lady". He must also pay £500 compen- sation, a £115 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Joseph Binney, 27, of The Roundway, Anlaby Park, was given a 12-month community order, including 120 hours of unpaid work, for threatening another leading them to fear violence would be used... read more
