1,300 Hull homes hit by power cut



Almost 1,300 homes in Hull are without electricity this morning after a power cut.
Northern Powergrid said it was believed 1,290 homes have been affected in the HU7 and HU9 postcode areas of the city. Some properties also suffered the blackout in the HU12 area of Holderness.
The company, which managed the electricity network, apologised for the cut and said power to some homes had already been restored. Engineers were hoping to restore power to all properties by 8am.
